But Windows Live Mail saved each email in the separate EML files. Windows Live Mail was more refined than the previous email programs like Outlook Express that used to save all the emails in a single folder (Inbox) in a single DBX file. It was the predecessor of Windows Mail and was designed to run on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The modern users of email clients are not aware of the Windows Live Mail email client from Microsoft.
